Ephesians 4:32

Updated: Dec 28, 2020

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Have you ever felt really betrayed? If you have, then you know the feeling is unbearable at times. How could they do that to you?!?! Your feelings of love can quickly turn to hate; wanting this person to pay for what they've done to you. So, what kind of person would you be? Would you:

A. Confront this person with harmful intentions.

B. Try to sabotage their life in some way so they can feel the same pain they caused you.

C. Go into a deep depression and vow to never speak to them again.

D. Forgive them and move on with your life.

Out of these four options, D seems to be the most difficult to do. This is where your faith comes into play. Forgiving someone is really hard to do, especially when they caused you so much pain. How do you just let it go? When we forgive someone, it does not necessarily mean we should forget what they have done. How can we forget when it has caused so much pain and strife?

What God asks is that we forgive them and learn from it; everything happens for a reason. Take this knowledge and apply it to your everyday life. Remember, everyone must stand in His judgment one day. So, if you ever find yourself in this situation and you think 'how can you just let it go?'...LET GO AND LET GOD! PRAISE HIS SWEET NAME!
